Birmingham Christmas

The Christmas season is upon us. What an exciting time to celebrate the birth of Jesus! We want to invite you to join us in celebrating Christ's birth. On December 12th, during the morning and evening services, we will be presenting a Christmas program. All of the children will be involved. This will be a great time to worship and enjoy the sounds of the holidays. In order to do this, we are asking all of the families that want their children involved to commit to having the children at scheduled practices and help out in any way.

Because this is a performance, we must have a commitment from you communicating that your children will be at practice.

The following dates will be tentatively reserved for practice:Sunday, October 31 @ 9:00 in OZ (K-7th grade)
Sunday, November 7 @ 9:00 in OZ (K-7th grade)
Sunday, November 14 @ 9:00 in OZ (K-7th grade)
Sunday, November 21 @ 9:00 in OZ (K-7th grade)
Sunday, Dec 5 @9:00 (K-7 grade)
Wednesday, Dec. 8 @ 6:30 in OZ (K-7th)

Saturday, December 11 @ DRESS REHEARSAL ****ALL CLC KIDS**** Time to be announced.

PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WILL PRACTICE DURING WORSHIP SERVICE EACH WEEK.

Thanks so much! This is going to be a great season!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and is starting off 2010 well. We have so many things to look forward to as we embark on the journey that the Lord has us on for 2010.

I wanted to let you know of a few things that are going on during the Spring semester in the Children's department. Please mark your calendars and plan on being a part of the following events:

January 31st: Parent Meeting following the worship service. This will highlight some of the events that we are planning during the Spring as well as ministry highlights from within the department.

February 7th: Royal Rangers and Missionettes begin on Sunday Night

February 12th: Talent Show and Valentine Spaghetti Dinner at 7:00 PM. We will continue this Valentine tradition by providing good food, good entertainment, and a highlight of BGMC. We need students to showcase their talents and servant leaders to help with decorating, food preparation, set up, and clean up.

March 27th: Family Eggstravaganza (Time and Location TBA). We will need servant leaders to volunteer in the planning and execution of this event.

Children's Camp Dates will be available at the Parent Meeting on January 31st.

Thanks so much! Happy New Year!
